1,155 homes-- and counting

1,155 homes—and counting (Local)

As the fires blaze through Southern California many helpless people are losing there homes. The fires are being aided by the Santa Ana winds which cause the fires to quickly spiral out of control and leave firefighters never knowing where the next blaze will occur. For this reason many people were unable to protect there homes and leave with enough time to spare to collect personal belongings that mean the most to them.

In my opinion the media should spend as much time as possible alerting people of the area’s that are in the most danger during these fires. Many of the people who lose their homes could be warned and allowed ample time to remove personal belongings. Along with this, media coverage of Red Cross operations, fundraisers and food drives could be heightened to aid those who lose so much when there homes are burnt to the ground.
